A Twenty-year old nollywood actor, Bestwood Chwukwuemeka was on Monday sentenced to three months imprisonment by a Karu Senior Magistrate's Court, Abuja for having sexual intercourse with another man through the anus.
"I am guilty of the charge against me. I want the court to temper justice with mercy" Chwukwuemeka pleaded guilty.

We recall that in November, 2011 the Nigerian Senante passed a bill banning gay marriages, and public display of affection by gays in Nigeria. This bill was termed Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Bill and anyone found guily of this would be sentenced to 14 years jail term.
