ntroducing the latest romantic comedy ‘Flower Girl‘ a tale of love lost and won in the city of Lagos, from the producer and director of the awarding winning film ‘Small Boy’ Michelle Bello.
Flower Girl is a romantic comedy centred on the life of a shy florist, Kemi, desperate to tie the knot with her long-time boyfriend Umar, she finds herself playing desperado when she teams with a popular playboy Tunde Kulani, in a bid to get Umar back, after he dumped her.
The movie addresses the issue of young women desperate for a husband without carefully considering the elements that are needed to make marriage last.
The cast boasts of upcoming Nigerian movie stars like Damilola Adegbite, (formerly in Tinsel), Chris Attoh (Tinsel), Eku Edewor (Studio 53), Bikiya Graham Douglas and Chuks Chukwujekwu, starring for the first time as a male lead.
Nollywood big names, Patrick Doyle, Teni Aofiyebi and Tosan Edremoda-Ugbeye are also on the cast.
Shot entirely on location, with an all-star crew including Co-Producer Michelle Dede (Big Brother Nigeria), Art Director Bola Bello (AMAA award winner for Art Direction: Small Boy), award-winning Screenwriter Jigi Bello (Shooter, The Waiting Room) and Director of Photography James Costello (Inale, Last Flight to Abuja and Black November), the movie will premiere in 2013.
We’re told Flower Girl is Michelle’s ‘love letter to Lagos’, featuring familiar and exciting parts of the city never seen before in a film.
