Not only did Justin bring Pattie Mallette to the 2012 American Music Awards, but he thanked her in his first victory speech! Justin Bieber is a total mama’s boy, and we love him for it! Fresh off his split from Selena Gomez, the Biebs walked mom Pattie Mallette down the 2012 American Music Awards red carpet Nov. 18. He also thanked Pattie, along with manager Scooter Braun, when he accepted the award for Favorite Pop/Rock Artist — but for obvious reasons, left Selena out of his big speech.

“First of all, I want to say, this is for all the haters who thought that maybe I was here for one or two years — but i feel like I’m gonna be here for a long time,” Justin said after his first victory. “Second of all, I want to thank my mom, Scooter Braun for being a mentor and role model … wanna thank my family at home; thank all of my beautiful, beautiful fans; and last thing, I love everybody!”
