Yemi Alade’s shocker – ‘I don’t read any stories about me’

Upcomer Yemi Alade is busy promoting her new singles, ‘tweeting’ blog links and asking followers to ‘retweet’ and download her new cuts.

But just at the start of this week, she publicly told a follower she does not read any stories-publications written about or including her – be it Online, Print, Radio or on TV.

The former Peak Talent hunt winner was apparently reacting to a review of her performance at the recently held Tymeout With Tee A Live concert held at the MUSON centre, Lagos on Saturday, December 1, 2012.

The review described Miss Alade’s performance as a ‘show of shame’. The review further went on to state that the singer chose a wrong costume, appeared tacky, and failed to deliver even one great song.

When asked by a follower (@olasunkominoni) on Twitter about the review, she responded; Nope! I don’t read any stories bout me on line, paper,or whatever… Sorry.

It sure does sound funny though as she has in the last 24 hours been posting web links of published stories on her newly released songs and interviews on her Twitter and Facebook pages…Why should friends and followers bother with the links if the singer herself can’t be bothered?
Some words of advice would have been appropriate, but we can’t be bothered, as she won’t be reading, anyway.

Yemi Alade’s name popped up in 2009 when she won the Peak Talent show. She signed to Bayo Omisore‘s Just Kiddin’ label and released her debut single ‘fi mi sile’, before leaving him to join Effizzyie Records.

Nope! I don’t read any stories bout me on line, paper,or whatever… Sorry. RT @: @ chck thenetng ursef
